NBC chooses NYCD to produce Research, Production, and Technical Manuals for Torino Olympics
NBC Olympics has selected NYCD as the supplier of Production Manual CD-ROMs to assist the staff during NBC's coverage of the 2006 Olympics in Torino, Italy. The CD-ROMs will allow their staff to access the most current information on events, athletes, temporary broadcast facilities, without an internet connection.
Since NBC plans to update the Manuals on a very frequent basis throughout the Olympics, they will take advantage of NYCD's same day and overnight production capabilities to deploy information in a timely manner. The project plans for approximately 4200 Manuals to be distributed to dozens of technicians and broadcasters in the field. Torino marks the 4 th straight Olympics for which NYCD will assist with this initiative.
