NBC chooses
NYCD to produce Research, Production, and Technical
Manuals for Athens Olympics
NBC Olympics has selected
NYCD as the supplier of Production Manual CD-ROMs
to assist the staff during NBC's coverage of the 2004
Olympics in Athens. The CD-ROMs will be allow their
staff to access the most current information on events,
athletes, temporary broadcast facilities, without
an internet connection.
Since NBC plans to
update the Manuals on a very frequent basis throughout
the XXVIII Olympiad, they will take advantage of NYCD's
same day and overnight production capabilities to
deploy information in a timely manner. The project
plans for approximately 4200 Manuals to be distributed
to dozens of technicians and broadcasters in the field.
